Poetry and Art

Have you ever sat down to journal or write only to feel stuck-unsure how to begin, how to keep going, or even why you are doing it? Or maybe you just can’t seem to find the time? For me putting words together is a way to understand myself -my past, -my present, and where I am headed. Words connect emotions and thoughts, open and close doors, and create space for growth and clarity. Metaphor is my favorite language; it holds mystery, myth, and heartfelt feelings that I can’t quite express any other way.

You are invited to spend a gentle, creative afternoon exploring this playful and meaningful process within a small, welcoming community. I will provide a variety of words for you to choose from and you’ll arrange them in your own unique way. There’s something magical about pairing words that were never expected to meet. We’ll collage them onto a background and you’ll leave with a piece that reflects your heart-something beautiful to take home and hang on your wall. The true gift, though, is in the process itself.
